Used Tractor Rear Axle

1128 available products

A load grunt, a leak from the housing, a differential lock that no longer engages: the rear axle bears the full power of the tractor and eventually lets you know. TMC Bejenne recovers rear axles and their components from tractors being dismantled at Naintré, inspects them in our workshop, and resells them at 30% to 70% less than new. To replace the entire assembly at once, visit the used complete rear axle page; for individual parts, select the relevant sub-family below.

Agricultural Tractor Rear Axle: Role and Components

On an agricultural tractor, the rear axle receives motion from the gearbox and transmits it to the rear wheels, while supporting much of the weight of the machine and the attached implement. The bevel gear redirects motion at a right angle, the differential distributes torque between the two wheels, and the final drives housed within the hubs multiply the final torque. The housing also contains brakes, the differential lock, and the power take-off.

Used Agricultural Tractor Parts: Rear Axle in Detail

Agricultural Parts Sales Site: Quality-Controlled Used Parts by TMC Bejenne

Compared to new parts websites, original used rear axles offer two advantages: they match the manufacturer's exact dimensions and cost significantly less. Since 1945, TMC Bejenne has dismantled tractors and combines, cataloging every component among more than 25,000 references. Each axle part is cleaned, inspected by our specialized technicians, and stored with identification of the original machine, making compatibility verification easier.

Tractor Dismantling by Brand: Available Rear Axles

Massey Ferguson Tractor Dismantling: Parts by Model

Massey Ferguson tractors remain among the most requested in France. For a rear axle, note the series and serial number: reduction ratios and splines vary by model.

John Deere Tractor Dismantling: Rear Axles for 6000 Series

On John Deere tractors, the rear axle is integrated with the gearbox and power take-off. Provide the series, transmission type (PowrQuad, AutoQuad, or others), and serial number: our technicians verify compatibility of the axle and final drives.

Renault Tractor Dismantling, McCormick Parts and Equipment

For Renault and McCormick tractors, rear axles and final drives become available as machines are dismantled. Call 05 86 24 00 26 to check availability for your model.

Used Agricultural Tractor Parts for Older Models: Original Axle Components

For older tractors, new axle parts are often no longer manufactured. Dismantling end-of-life machines preserves a supply of original axles, differentials, and final drives for these series. At TMC Bejenne, our technicians apply the same inspections as for recent models: checking bearing play, gear wear, and absence of housing cracks.

Used Parts for Older Massey Ferguson, Renault, McCormick, Deutz, and Same Tractors

Massey Ferguson 100 series, Renault models from the 1970s to 1990s, McCormick, Deutz, and Same vintage tractors are still common on farms and among collectors. Their rear axles, differentials, and final drives become available over time from dismantlings: provide the model and serial number, and our technicians check availability.

Agricultural Tractor Dismantling by Region: Naintré, Delivery Throughout France

  • A 11-hectare site at NaintrĂ©, in the Vienne region
  • On-site pickup or shipping across France, depending on axle size
  • A dedicated technical contact for farmers, contractors, or cooperatives
  • Transportation quotes available on request at 05 86 24 00 26

Used Front Tractor Axle: Complementing the Rear Axle

On four-wheel-drive tractors, the rear axle works in tandem with the front axle. Uneven tire or gear wear at the rear suggests checking the front axle as well, as gear ratios should remain consistent. TMC Bejenne also offers these parts in the front tractor axle range, including complete assemblies in the used front tractor axle category.

Spare Parts for Agricultural Tractors: Preparing Your Inquiry

  • Brand, model, and year of the tractor
  • Serial number from the manufacturer's plate
  • Reference number engraved on the housing or part, if readable
  • Photos of the assembly and the side where the leak or breakage occurs

Rear Tractor Axle Oil and Fluid Change

Lubrication determines the lifespan of the axle. On most recent tractors, a UTTO-type transmission oil is shared by the axle, gearbox, hydraulics, and wet brakes. Some older tractors use 80W90 gear oil specifically for the axle, separate from the hydraulic circuit. Follow the manufacturer’s viscosity specifications and oil change intervals: worn, contaminated oil—with metal particles or milky water appearance—accelerates wear of the bevel gear, differential, and brake discs. For axles requiring 80W90 oil, do not substitute with hydraulic oil. After assembling a used axle, perform a complete oil change and check the level after the first hours of operation.

It is the assembly that transmits power between the gearbox and the rear wheels. It includes the bevel gear, differential, final drives, brakes, and often the power take-off, all within a housing that also supports much of the tractor’s and implement’s weight.

A rumbling or whistling sound that changes with load, clicking noises when turning, a leak from the housing, or a non-functioning differential lock. Whistling usually points to the bevel gear, clicking when cornering to the differential. Sometimes a single bearing can be replaced without changing the entire axle. TMC Bejenne will guide you to the compatible part.

An axle supports the wheels; a beam supports and drives them. A tractor’s rear axle contains the final drive components: bevel gear, differential, and final drives. A non-driven axle, like that on a trailer, contains no power transmission parts.

The engine, the gearbox, the rear axle, and the front axle; the hydraulic system with the lift; the cab and the bodywork. TMC Bejenne offers used spare parts for each of these assemblies, sourced from identified tractors.

The type recommended by the manufacturer. Most modern tractors use a UTTO oil shared between the transmission, hydraulics, brakes, and hydraulic PTO. Some older axles require 80W90 oil. Using unsuitable or degraded oil accelerates differential wear and causes wet brakes to slip.

Viewed from the rear of the tractor, the rear power take-off rotates clockwise at 540 or 1,000 rpm depending on the selected speed. This direction is standardized so attached implements can be swapped between brands. For a used power take-off, please specify the number of splines on the shaft.
