Other parts: combine concave

Essentially inseparable from the beater, the concave plays an equally important role in harvest quality. Positioned beneath the beater, it completes the grain-straw separation by friction and achieves the key goal: allowing 90% of threshed grains to pass through its grid.

A worn or improperly adjusted concave directly causes significant harvest losses — unthreshed grains, excessive breakage, or high impurity rates in the grain tank. The spacing between the beater and concave must be tailored to each crop: about 20 mm at the inlet for canola, 12 mm for wheat or barley.
