Used tractor rear axle

1115 available products

A load grunt, a leak at the housing, a differential lock that no longer engages: the rear axle handles all the tractor's power and eventually makes it known. TMC Bejenne recovers rear axles and their components from tractors dismantled in Naintré, inspects them in our workshop, and resells them at 30 to 70% less than new. To replace the complete assembly, see our subrange complete rear axle.

Agricultural tractor rear axle: function and components

On an agricultural tractor, the rear axle receives motion from the gearbox and transfers it to the rear wheels, while carrying a large portion of the weight of the machine and attached implement. The bevel gear redirects the motion at a right angle, the differential distributes torque between the two wheels, and the reduction gears housed in the hubs multiply the final torque. The housing also contains the brakes, differential lock, and the power take-off.

Tractor parts suppliers and shops: certified used components

Compared to new parts suppliers, original used rear axles have two advantages: they exactly match manufacturer's dimensions and cost significantly less. Since 1945, TMC Bejenne has dismantled tractors and combines and catalogued every component among more than 25,000 references. Every axle part is cleaned, inspected by our experts, then stored identified with the original machine, easing compatibility checks.

Tractor breakers by brand: rear axles available

Massey Ferguson tractor breakers: used spare parts

Massey Ferguson tractors remain among the most requested in France. For a rear axle, note the series and serial number: reduction ratios and output splines vary between models.

Renault tractor breakers and McCormick tractor parts

On Renault and McCormick tractors, rear axles and reduction gears arrive as dismantling progresses. Call 05 86 24 00 26 to check availability for your model.

Parts and breakers for older tractors

For older tractors, new axle parts are often no longer produced. Dismantling machines at end-of-life keeps a supply of original axles, differentials, and reduction gears for these series. At TMC Bejenne, our technicians apply the same inspections as for recent models: bearing play, gear condition, and crack-free housing.

Used tractor parts for Massey Ferguson, Renault, McCormick and Deutz

Massey Ferguson series 100, Renault models from the 1970s to 1990s, and older Deutz and McCormick remain numerous on farms and with collectors. Their rear axles, differentials, and reduction gears become available through dismantling: provide us with model and serial number, our technicians will check availability.

Used front tractor axle: complementing the rear axle

On a four-wheel-drive tractor, the rear axle works in tandem with the front axle. Abnormal wear at the rear suggests checking the front as well, to ensure ratio compatibility. TMC Bejenne also offers these parts in the front tractor axle range, including complete assemblies in used front tractor axle.

Spare parts for agricultural tractors: preparing your request

  • Brand, model and year of the tractor
  • Serial number from the manufacturer plate
  • Reference engraved on the housing or part, if readable
  • Photo of the component and the side of leak or breakage

A grunt or whistle that changes with load, clicking noises in turns, oil leaks at the housing or hubs, or a differential lock that fails to engage. Have the cause confirmed by your mechanic before ordering: sometimes a bearing alone can be replaced without changing the whole axle. TMC Bejenne will then guide you to the compatible part.

The axle supports the wheels, the rear axle supports and drives them. A tractor rear axle therefore contains the final drive: bevel gear, differential, and reduction gears. A non-driven axle, like that of a trailer, has no transmission components.

It is the driven and steering axle on four-wheel-drive tractors. It receives motion via a shaft from the gearbox and the engagement is controlled from the driver’s seat. It also contains a differential and wheel reduction gears.

Most tractors use a common oil for transmission, hydraulics, and brakes, such as UTTO. Follow the manufacturer’s recommendations and the oil change intervals in the manual: unsuitable or old oil accelerates wear on the differential and oil-immersed brakes.

Viewed from the rear of the tractor, the rear power take-off rotates clockwise, at 540 or 1000 rpm depending on the selected speed. This direction is standardized so that attached implements are interchangeable across brands. For a used power take-off, specify the number of splines on the shaft.
