Used Tractor Three-Point Lift Rod
61 available products
A bent lift rod or one with worn threading can unbalance the entire hitch: the implement works off-kilter, the lower arms strain, and the adjustment no longer holds uniformly from one side to the other. TMC Bejenne dismantles lift rods from tractors entering its yard, of all brands and sizes, from micro-tractors to high-powered models. These genuine parts, inspected in our workshop, complement our tractor lift equipment range, at prices 30 to 70% lower than new.

Lift Rod: Its Role in the Three-Point Hitch System
The lift rod, also called the lifting link, connects the lift arm to the lower linkage arm and adjusts the height on the right or left side. In the three-point hitch system, it compensates for slope and levels the implement. A worn lift rod is identified by axial play, damaged threading, or an ovalized ball joint at the foot, on the lower linkage arm side. The principle is the same whether on a micro-tractor or a large tractor.
Agricultural and Hydraulic Lift Rods: Two Technologies
- Mechanical adjustable lift rod: the most common, the threaded body is turned to lengthen or shorten.
- Hydraulic lift rod: adjustable from the cab, useful on offset plows or mowers.
- Compatibility: one does not replace the other without modifying the hydraulic circuit.
- Lengths: minimum and maximum length between mounting points should be measured before ordering.
Used Tractor Lift Rods Available at TMC Bejenne
We offer right and left tractor lift rods, from micro-tractors to large farms’ tractors, mechanical and hydraulic, dismantled from identified machines. TMC Bejenne has been dismantling tractors since 1945, operating on a 11-hectare site in Naintré, with more than 25,000 references in stock. Each lift rod is inspected during dismantling, including threads and ball joints.
Lift Rods by Brand: Selection Criteria
Lift Rods for Renault, Massey Ferguson, and Deutz
- Renault: rods for older series like Ares and Temis, often crank-adjustable on the right side.
- Massey Ferguson: series 100, 200, 3000, and 6000, with clevis or ball joint depending on year.
- Deutz-Fahr: rods for DX and Agrotron series, length between mounting points should be checked.
Lift Rods for John Deere, New Holland, and Case IH
- John Deere: series 30, 40, 6000, and 6R, available in mechanical or hydraulic versions.
- New Holland and Case IH: TM, TS, T6, Maxxum, and Puma, where clevis and ball joint vary from generation to generation.
- Hitch category: defines the size of the lift rod.
- Minimum and maximum lengths: take measurements from the removed part.
- Diameter of ball joints or clevis: determines mount compatibility on arms.
- Maximum allowable load: must correspond to the implement’s weight.
- Availability: the above series are examples; stock varies with arrivals.
Lift and Force Arms: Parts That Wear Together
A lift rod with play rarely appears alone. Have each lower and upper lift arm checked; they absorb the same stresses. We also offer used lower arms and upper lift arms. A cracked lift arm or ovalized ball joint shifts the load onto a new lift rod, causing premature wear.
Stabilizer and Lift Tensioner
- Stabilizer: stiffens lateral hitch movement; see our stabilizers and tensioners.
- Additional cylinder: boosts lifting capacity; see our additional cylinders.
- Lift housing: houses the shaft and main cylinder; see our lift housings.
- Stable support: stabilizer and lift rod work together; one often masks the wear of the other.
Tractor Lift Schematic: What We Need From You
A schematic helps identify the part but not its availability second-hand. Measure the ball joint diameters on the removed lift rod, add the tractor’s model and year, then call 05 86 24 00 26. Our advisors cross-check with current stock, confirm compatibility, and arrange shipping throughout France.
It transmits movement from the lift arm to the lower arm and adjusts the height on each side of the hitch. By lengthening or shortening it, you level the implement, for example, correcting a plow on a slope. The left side is often fixed; the right side adjustable. Other lift system parts are available in our tractor lift equipment range.
Common causes include oil level or quality, clogged filters, worn cylinder seals, faulty distributor, or mechanical wear of lift rods and ball joints. A hitch that won’t hold a load usually points to the cylinder or distributor. Have your mechanic confirm the cause before ordering a part.
These are the lift arms of the three-point hitch. The two lower arms support the implement via their ball joints; the third point attaches centrally. The upper lift arms, mounted on the lift shaft, raise them through the lift rods. They are also known as lift arms, power arms, or hangers for the lift rods.
It's a simple mechanical part with no electronics or hidden internal wear. Its condition is judged by the threading, ball joint play, and straightness of the body—three points verified during dismantling. Replacement in pairs is recommended for tractors with high hours to maintain symmetrical adjustment on both sides.
