Story of a leader of the used agricultural coin
Key dates, first 55 years

In 1945, at the age of 26, Mr. Bernard BEJENNE and his wife settled in Monts sur Guesnes, Vienna, where they bought the business of a blacksmith. This is the starting point of our company, at a time when agricultural mechanization is just beginning to emerge, creating significant needs.

The first years were marked by challenges, but thanks to Mr. BEJENNE’s ambition and hard work, the company began to grow. From the beginning of the 1960s, it already employs about twenty people and establishes a relationship of loyalty with a local clientele of farmers.

In 1968, a new significant step was taken with the opening of a secondary site in Naintré, near Châtellerault, along the Route Nationale 10. On 7 hectares, buildings of 5000 square meters are erected, marking a decisive turning point in the development of Ets BEJENNE.

In the early 1980s, a strategic partnership was concluded with FIATAGRI, now NEW HOLLAND. This agreement allows the company to market not only its own equipment, but also used equipment taken from its dealers by FIATAGRI France. Following this partnership, the company changed its name to TMC BEJENNE (Tracto Marché Châtelleraudais).

In 1987, Mr. Bernard BEJENNE retired, leaving the management of the two establishments to his eldest son, Francis BEJENNE. This is an important transition in the history of the company, marking the family continuity in its management.

Today, the company is known for its two complementary activities: the sale of used tractors and combine harvesters of all brands, as well as the sale of used spare parts.

From 1999 to today

In 1999, the company joined the DURIS group, based in Issoudun in Indre, one of the main dealers in the NEW HOLLAND network. This integration offers many synergies: TMC BEJENNE benefits from easy access to new technologies, while DURIS finds new markets for its used equipment.

In 2004, the group expands and takes the name of GONNIN DURIS, under the direction of Mr. Eric BIBAULT. In addition to TMC BEJENNE, this group now includes 7 companies, all New Holland dealers, and has more than 400 employees. Philippe BEJENNE succeeds his brother at the head of the company, which then employs a team of about twenty people.

In 2012, GONNIN DURIS joined the family-owned Groupe Vendéen DUBREUIL, demonstrating the willingness of managers to invest sustainably in the agricultural machinery sector. The DUBREUIL Group, with more than 5,000 employees, is active in various sectors such as public works, automotive distribution, petroleum products and air transport with Air Caraïbes.

In 2019, the company underwent a major modernization with the construction of a new building of 2000m², adapted to the new dimensions of the machines and intended to accompany its growth. This new site can accommodate and maintain all types of equipment, as well as develop a deconstruction activity. A new parts store is integrated, offering an extensive range to meet the specific needs of customers. At the same time, the rental activity is launched under the name of TMC LOC, with a fleet comprising 30 tractors, 15 telescopic and various other equipment for ad hoc, seasonal or long-term needs.
