Why is my tractor producing a lot of smoke?

The color of the smoke helps guide diagnostics. Black smoke often indicates excess diesel fuel, a clogged air filter, or a worn turbo. Blue smoke suggests the engine is burning oil. Persistent white smoke may come from coolant. In all cases, check the air intake and turbo before replacing exhaust parts.

Why is my tractor blowing oil out of the exhaust?

Most often, oil enters the exhaust gases due to a leaking turbo seal, worn piston rings or valve guides, or an engine idling for extended periods without load. Replacing the muffler does not solve the root cause; first, have your engine diagnosed. We also offer used turbos and engine parts .

How can I find an exhaust compatible with my tractor?

Record the brand, model, and year of your machine, the part number, and the connection diameter. For this part, on a John Deere or Massey Ferguson tractor, these details usually identify the correct muffler. Send this information and a photo to our technicians at 05 86 24 00 26; they will verify compatibility before shipment.

Should I replace clamps and flanges with the muffler?

It is recommended. Mounting flanges and exhaust clamps are often the first to fail, and replacing them during service prevents gas leaks a few weeks later. Take the opportunity to inspect the entire exhaust system, from the manifold to the outlet.
