Each seat is inspected: suspension, cushions, adjustment rails, and electrical connections. Claas Tractor Seat: Pneumatic or Mechanical Suspension
On recent Claas agricultural tractors, such as Arion or Axion, the pneumatic suspension seat is powered by a small 12V compressor that adjusts height and damping to the driver's weight. The mechanical spring suspension seat requires no power and remains common on simpler or older models. These two are not always interchangeable directly: check for a power outlet in the cab before switching from one to the other.
