Question 1

What is the difference between a grain auger and a screw conveyor?

Accepted Answer

The term screw conveyor describes the principle: a helical flight rotating inside a trough or tube that pushes material. The grain auger is a specific application dedicated to cereal transport. Screw conveyors remain the most common system on combine harvesters, ahead of chain conveyors reserved for elevators. On a combine harvester, several screw conveyors follow one another, from the header to the hopper unloading. You will find all of them in our grain transport range.

Question 2

How do I find an auger compatible with my combine harvester?

Accepted Answer

Specify the equipment type, make, model, and year of your machine, or the reference engraved on the original part. A Claas Lexion and a New Holland CX do not use the same augers, even with the same cutting width. Our specialized technicians compare this data with our stock and confirm compatibility before shipment.

Question 3

Why choose a used combine harvester auger instead of a new one?

Accepted Answer

An original manufacturer auger costs a lot new, and lead times often lengthen during peak season when the screw conveyor must be running. Sourced from dismantling and inspected in our workshop, a used auger saves you 30 to 70% while maintaining original specifications. For an older John Deere or Case IH , it is also one of the few ways to find a genuine part.
