Q: Which hydraulic oil should be used for a Deutz-Fahr tractor?

Most Deutz-Fahr tractors (Agrotron, DX, K series) use UTTO oil (Universal Tractor Transmission Oil) common to transmission, rear axle, and hydraulic circuit. Deutz-Fahr recommends its Agri Fluid HP oil or an approved equivalent (API GL-4, Allison C-4, Ford M2C134-D). Before any refill or oil change, consult your model’s manual: some recent Agrotron have separate circuits with distinct specifications. Q: How to prevent hydraulic oil overheating in a Deutz-Fahr tractor?

Hydraulic oil overheating most often results from a clogged oil radiator (pressure wash cleaning at season start), low oil level (check the cold indicator), or a hydraulic pump losing efficiency. Also check hydraulic filters : a clogged filter increases pump load and raises circuit temperature. Simultaneously inspect seal levels on hoses and fittings—a micro-leak introduces air into the hydraulic circuit causing cavitation that accelerates overheating. TMC Bejenne offers used hydraulic oil radiators for Deutz-Fahr K100, 6150, Agrotron 4.85, and Agrotron K420 .

Question 2

How to identify a compatible Deutz-Fahr hydraulic part?

Accepted Answer

To identify the correct reference, provide the exact model of your machine (e.g., Agrotron K420, 6150, DX 85) and, if possible, the manufacturer’s part number engraved on the original part. These details allow our technicians to find the compatible part in our stock. Contact us at +33 5 35 54 42 10 or use the model filter on our online catalog.

Question 3

Is a used hydraulic tractor part reliable?

Accepted Answer

A used hydraulic part from dismantling an end-of-life agricultural machine is inspected in our workshop before stock. At TMC Bejenne, each component is visually and functionally checked—seal tightness, casing condition, absence of warping. An original part from an identical machine offers the same dimensional compatibility as a new manufacturer part, with a lifespan consistent with the machine’s age. This is an especially relevant solution for models out of warranty or when new parts are not quickly available.
